Roland In Australia, Part Four
Here's a detail from a page of my illustrated story, Roland in Australia, created back in 1984. For a look at the first 40 pages of this wholly improvised adventure, click here.

Here's an illustration of Colton Harris-Moore, the Pacific Northwest's “Barefoot Bandit”, which appears in this week's Seattle Weekly.

Boy Eats Horse
Here's a color preliminary, in ink and crayon, to a painting I created a few years ago, based on twentieth-century coloring books. A finished version, sans color, can be seen here.

Found At Sea – And On TV
Here's another aquatic-themed illustration, this one can be seen in this week's Portland Mercury, accompanying William Steven Humphrey's always-funny I Love Television column.

Lost At Sea Dept. – Ferry Division
Here's an illustration that was intended for this week's Seattle Weekly, but was bumped due to space limitations. Interestingly, the last time this happened, the drawing also had a maritime theme.

Wild and Cartoony
Here's a detail from a poster I created back in 1997, for a show of cartoon-themed art I co-produced with Roq La Rue's Kirsten Anderson, held at Seattle's famous Crocodile Cafe, featuring a performance by cartoon nerd supergroup, the Action Suits. The poster featured an early experiment with what would eventually become my Cartoon Jumbles series of cartoon character conglomerations. Turn your computer upside down and see if you can't discern which popular characters went into the show's tree-swinging icon.

Leave Our Fair Nation
Here's another of my absurd short story covers from the early 80s. This one begins: And so it was, that every day, while the other four old gentlemen made copies of their wallets and hands in the post office lobby, ex-tax collector and grey-whiskered troublemaker, Frank Middlesex, sat and watched for cars.
