Full Muddle Jacket

Here's a detail of a denim jacket I decorated in the mid 1980s, covering it with a great assortment of pop culture ephemera, bits featuring everyone from Batman, to Ziggy, to Barbie, to Groucho Marx – and many in between.

Tell Me About Your Mother

Here's a small detail from the cover to a comic book proposal I began back in the late 90s, one which I never completed. The id was very much in control at the time, demanding such imagery.

Wild and Cartoony

Here's a detail from a poster I created back in 1997, for a show of cartoon-themed art I co-produced with Roq La Rue's Kirsten Anderson, held at Seattle's famous Crocodile Cafe, featuring a performance by cartoon nerd supergroup, the Action Suits. The poster featured an early experiment with what would eventually become my Cartoon Jumbles series of cartoon character conglomerations. Turn your computer upside down and see if you can't discern which popular characters went into the show's tree-swinging icon.

Los Lobos, Los Firma

Here's an illustration I did for a music festival in upstate New York, back in 2004. I created numerous such drawings for the festival program. The art director was thoughtful enough to have each of the performers sign a copy of my portrayal of their performance. This one features Los Lobos.
