Of Beer Tokens and Birthday Jumbles

The following gallery offers a varied selection of recent illustrations. From gifts to auctions to print assignments, it’s all here. Enjoy!

This watercolor, an obvious appropriation of the style of Silver Age Wonder Woman artists like Ross Andru and Mike Esposito, was commissioned for an auction to benefit Neil Cummins Elementary School in Corte Madera, CA.

This special Cartoon Jumble was created as a gift for a good friend, in order to celebrate the dual birthdays of he and his daughter, hers being the very first. Happy birthday, kids!

This cover for Albuquerque’s The Alibi was created the evening before I was due to fly out of town, a pinch-hitting job that, thankfully, came together quite well.

This was created for The Portland Mercury, a header image for their new Questionland web feature.

This over-sized wooden beer token facsimile was created for a friend, in order to help his brother celebrate his long years of service in the United States Air Force.

Following are ten recent examples of my illustrations for the I Love Television column, which runs every week in The Mercury.

Following are ten recent examples of A Drawn Perspective, my bi-weekly editorial strip that runs in half a dozen Seattle-area newspapers. Click here for a more extensive look at this strip’s four-year history.
